- Chinese Theme. Book Of Bamboo is one of hundreds of online slot games themed to China. The reels are a deep red in colour and are surrounded by a gold frame with a traditional curved red roof on top. The background image shows a faded shot of a settlement at dusk, with mountains and clouds in the distance. - Audio. The slot has a pleasant and relaxing soundtrack that’s made up of oriental-style music and some realistic slot sound effects.
- 10 Paylines. You win whenever enough matching symbols are lined up adjacently from left to right on any number of paylines.
- Symbols. The slot has nine standard symbols. Five of these are the playing card icons A, K, Q, J and 10, and the others are some bamboo, a fan, a Chinese lantern and a gold ingot. The playing card symbols pay for three or more on a payline; the themed symbols pay for two or more. For the top payout of 50x your bet, fill a payline with five gold ingot symbols.
- Bonus Symbols. The book with a panda’s face on it is the slot’s one and only bonus symbol. It acts as both a scatter and a wild. It substitutes for all other symbols and pays for three to five anywhere on the grid. Its top payout is 200x your total bet, which you get paid if five instances of it appear on screen.
Book Of Bamboo Bonus Features
- Free Spins. Whenever three, four or five book symbols land, as well as getting paid you’re awarded 10, 12 or 25 free spins respectively. Before the free spins round begins, one of the slot’s regular symbols is chosen to become the special expanding symbol. If this symbol lands on the reels, it expands to fill the reel it’s on if doing so creates new wins, and once any current wins have been paid. You then get paid a second time, for the new wins the expanding symbol has created.
- Respins. After each base game spin, you’ll be offered the opportunity to respin each reel. Each respin costs. If a respin produces a new winning combination, you get paid and can keep on purchasing new respins, though the cost will likely be higher if you choose the reels on the right.
- Speed Up Bonus. Above the reels is the Speed Up Bonus button. Click this and select a bet size, then pay 75x this amount to purchase the free spins round. On the next spin, at least three scatters will be guaranteed to appear.
