Neptunes Quest Slot

Neptune’s Quest is an exciting online slot game developed by the provider WMS Gaming. It’s played on an irregular gaming grid and its features include a free spins round and an extended wild. Our review goes over just about everything there is to know about the slot. Give it a read then play the Neptune’s Quest slot for real money and see if your own casino quest ends in a big win.

How To Play The Neptune's Quest Slot

The first thing you’ll notice about this slot is that it doesn’t have a typical layout. There’s a large grid on the right with seven rows and three reels. To the left of this are two smaller grids, each one of which is 2x2 in size and is attached to the larger grid. The four positions in each small grid are actually separate reels. Therefore, the three extra large reels that make up the large grid on the right are considered to be reels 9, 10 and 11. Visit our section on colossal reel slots to find more slots that have extra large grids.

There are 100 paylines in total: half of them start on one of the small grids, the other half start on the other small grid. To play the slot, select a total bet size - your options go from 0.50 to 250.00 - then hit the purple and gold button to give the reels a spin. If you’d like to turn on autoplay, click the gold button showing a triangle surrounded by two arrows. Before the spins start, you can set up loss and single win limits.

Neptune's Quest Slot Features

• Underwater Theme. Neptune’s Quest is inspired by the ancient Roman god of the sea, Neptune. The slot therefore has an underwater setting. The reels take up most of the space on the right, though on the left you can see part of a grand and majestic underwater kingdom. Most of the symbols that you’ll see on the reels are suitably themed; they include sea creatures, mythical beings and things you’d commonly find underwater. Some other WMS Gaming video slots that are similar to this one are Zeus 1,000 and Spartacus Gladiator of Rome, both of which are worth checking out.
• Audio. The slot's audio matches the theme well as it’s made up of underwater sounds and  the noises made by various sea creatures, along with some cinematic music.
• 100 Paylines. As we’ve already mentioned, the Neptune’s Quest online slot is played with 100 paylines that are active on all spins. For you to win and get paid, at least three matching symbols have to land on a payline. These symbols must be on consecutive reels and have to start on the far left reel in order to count.
• Symbols. There are 11 regular symbols that can appear on the slot’s reels. The four low-paying ones are the playing card royals A, K, Q and J. Next there’s a starfish, a shell, a fish and a trident. The three top-paying symbols are a water bull, a mermaid and Neptune himself, who is the most valuable with a payout of 5x your total bet for five on a payline.
• Bonus Symbols. The octopus wild fills in for all regular symbols and offers the same high payouts as the Neptune symbol; the wild can appear extended during the free spins round. The scatter shows a depiction of an underwater kingdom. It appears on reels 9, 10 and 11 only.

Neptune's Quest Bonus Features

• Free Spins. There are two ways the free spins round can be triggered. You receive five spins plus a payout equal to your bet if all four symbols in one or both of the small grids match, or if scatters appear on reels 9, 10 and 11. You receive 20 free spins all four symbols in one or both of the small grids match and if scatters appear on reels 9, 10 and 11; you also receive a win worth 100x your total bet for triggering free spins this way. Matching symbols in the small grids that trigger the feature become sticky and remain where they are for the round’s duration. If one of the grids doesn’t trigger the feature, that grid will have 2x2 symbols appear on it for all free spins. The round can be retriggered: land three scatters on reels 9, 10 and 11 for five extra spins and a payout equal to your bet.
• Extended Wild. During the free spins round, the wild can appear as an extra large expanded symbol. It covers two positions on reel 9, four on reel 10 and six on reel 11.
