Wizard Of Oz Emerald City Slot Features

• Wizard Of Oz Theme. This online slot game is inspired by the classic and beloved film The Wizard of Oz, which was released back in 1939 and was based on the 1900 children’s novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. The slot is suitably themed and is sure to please fans of the film. The reels are set on the Yellow Brick Road and to the left is some pleasant scenery, while on the right are the towering spires of Emerald City. Like many other slots based on TV shows and movies, some of the film’s best-known characters make appearances as symbols on the reels. A rousing, uplifting soundtrack accompanies the gameplay and fits in with the theme nicely. For more movie-themed slots, click here.
• 243 Ways To Win. Every spin of the reels has 243 ways that winning combinations can be formed. In order to win, two/three to five matching symbols have to be lined up anywhere on adjacent reels, starting with the leftmost one.
• Symbols. The slot’s regular paying symbols include yellow diamonds, purple clubs and red hearts, along with a munchkin wearing blue, Toto the dog and a munchkin wearing green. There’s also the Wizard of Oz himself and a symbol showing Dorothy’s three companions: the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion. Finally, there’s the Dorothy and jackpot symbols. The jackpot one is the most rewarding, paying you 250x your total bet for getting one on each reel. The Dorothy, Wizard of Oz and companion symbols pay for two or more on adjacent reels; all other symbols require three or more.
• Bonus Symbols. The Emerald City symbol is the wild. It fills in for all regular symbols except the jackpot one. The slot’s scatter symbol is an orb with a green heart inside - this is what the Wizard of Oz appears like when Dorothy and her companions first see him. The scatter appears on reels 1, 3 and 5 only.

Wizard Of Oz Emerald City Bonus Features

• Glinda The Good Witch. This feature can trigger on any random base game spin. When it does, up to five bubbles appear. These bubbles land on random positions, with a maximum of one bubble per reel; they can’t cover scatters or jackpot symbols. Each symbol covered by a bubble is duplicated and up to three extra instances of it are added to the reel, which increases the number of ways to win for the current spin. Look out for the wild bubble - if this lands on a symbol, that symbol turns wild before being duplicated.
• Wheel Bonus. If a spin produces three scatters, you’ll get to spin the slot’s bonus wheel once. You can win one of five payouts, or one of two bonus features:
  • Gem: 5x your total bet
  • Scarecrow Jackpot: 25x your total bet
  • Tin Man Jackpot: 50x your total bet
  • Cowardly Lion Jackpot: 75x your total bet
  • Dorothy Jackpot: 125x your total bet
  • Glinda The Good Witch Free Spins
  • Emerald City Picking Bonus
• Glinda The Good Witch Free Spins. For this, you receive 5 free spins with the Glinda The Good Witch feature activating on every spin. When the spins have all been used up, you may be awarded an extra cash prize to boost your free spins payout.
• Emerald City Picking Bonus. This is a pick-me game where there are 42 Oz symbols on screen. There are 6 levels and you start at the first one. When you make your picks, you can reveal a gem that gives you a cash prize, or one of five characters. Each character is associated with a different level:
  • Scarecrow: Level 2
  • Tin Man: Level 3
  • Cowardly Lion: Level 4
  • Gatekeeper: Level 5
  • The Wizard of Oz: Level 6

Reveal a character and you’ll play that character’s level. The higher the level, the bigger the cash prizes you can win from gems. When you move to a new level, the character whose level it is has +Collect added to them; +Collect gets added to characters from all lower levels too. If you pick an Oz symbol and it reveals a character with +Collect, the feature ends and you’re paid the prizes you've won.
